If you have problems connecting via FTP or are not satisfied with the speed, we recommend changing the connection type from passive to active (or vice versa) and enabling encryption (or vice versa, disabling it). If these recommendations do not help improve the quality of FTP, please check the availability of ports 20, 21 and 40000-40999 on your device to the server.
If your tariff plan supports SSH access, you can use the sFTP protocol to work with files on the hosting. Switching to this protocol often solves problems that arise when using FTP.
Please note that downloading large numbers of small files may be slow due to the nature of FTP and sFTP. We recommend downloading archives (ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ) with files and unpacking them through your hosting control panel, as this takes less time and is a more convenient way.
